Ruby Chocolate!


I’ve read about this for a while now but I have never seen it before until this week, so I snapped it up to try.


It says ‘made with Ruby Cocoa Beans’ as if it is a different type of bean. In actual fact it is not a newly discovered bean or a specially cultivated one, but a normal cocoa bean that has been processed differently to preserve a pink colour and a pronounced fruity note.


But enough about that - how does it taste??? I think if you’re a white chocolate lover you will like this. In my opinion it has the creamy taste and sweetness of white chocolate with a sour cherry note. It would probably make some very interesting desserts such as a chocolate mousse.


Sadly, it has quite a high sugar content so not nutritionally great. But a small square now and again never hurt anyone, right?
